Blog Post New Entry

Made In The USA

It's nice to see that more and more consumers are finally looking at labels on the products that they buy. At Infidel Caps, we went to great lengths to ensure that our caps are 100% US made and we are in the process of sourcing US made T-Shirts as well. We believe that the best way to pull out of these tough economic times is to spend more money in the US instead of "Outsourcing" our cash.

We keep hearing economists talking about the  "global economy". Why not strenghten the US economy FIRST? It seems that too many companies would rather pad the bank accounts of their upper most management and share holders and not give a damn about the rest of us. As Americans, we should hold US companies to a higher standard. It wasn't very long ago that we were worried about productsfor children coming from China that had issues with Lead, com/news/consumer/Feds-investigating-childrens-drinking-glasses-for-lead-109950709.html  Just yesterday, there was a another report on the news about childrens jewelry containing Cadmium,  It seems that the countries we continually send all of our money to, don't seem to care what they send back to the US, poisonous or not.

Lets bring it all back to the USA where there are standards of manufacturing that are set to protect the consumer instead of poisoning them. We've started a new site for US manufacturers to advertise their web links. Capitolism is the American way but the ad rates on this site are far less expensive than most.

I support this initiative wholeheartedly. Particularly because of the tough times people (especially manufacturers) are facing, it's important to do whatever you can to support the local (or national) economy. Capitalism may be the American way, but so is looking out for your neightbour.

I currently live in Australia, and I am proud to support Australian products, just the same as I always supported American-made ones before I moved here. Even if it costs a bit more, it's worth it to help out our fellow countrymen...and women.
